Seedfork's blog: Lumber find down the street and things blooming today.

Well, I decided that new lumber was way to expensive and if I used anything to hold back my terraces it would have to be used lumber. Well driving out of our subdivision yesterday I ran across a pile of tossed out lumber. No, not the 2x12's I'd much have preferred, but a lot of usable treated 2x4's still in great condition, just discolored mostly.
After stripping all the extraneous bracing away I ended up with twenty seven pieces of treated 2x4's five feet long, plus some 4x4's for posts and a few other odds and end pieces. Here is a photo of most of the wood once it was stacked under the deck.
