Today I had two opened blooms on the zinnias I planted late, back on August 21st. Today was also the first nice cool day that felt almost like fall. So just over a month from planting till bloom.
The roses did not do all that well this year, but here are some of the last few to bloom.
The ferns are doing great, just planted these from little 2 inch pots this spring.
The Confederate Rose is just starting to bloom, here is one of the first blooms, they will change color and turn pinkish to purplish in color as they age.
Here is a photo of some of the Hosta seeds pods and seeds I collected today, still have a lot more I am waiting for the pods to turn brown on. Some of the pods were already opened and the seeds were falling out.
I planted some of my little daylily seedlings and some more proliferations out into the garden today, here are some of the seedlings still left in the pots. It won't be too long before they will be large enough to go into the garden plot.
