I neglected to post this from early August but the images are part of the garden progress I wanted to add here.
The lilies are 3 bulbs in a pot, I bought them this spring, they are wonderful and have a great fragrance! All my bulbs will be going into the ground eventually.
This shot is when Brad started putting in the railroad ties along the edge of the lawn last week. What a mess!
The railroad ties are now completed and we just need to raise the level and reseed the lawn. Brad finished a rock retaining wall along one edge, adding several clay pipes we found at a salvage yard. They will be planted with spillers like succulents that can handle the sun heated pipes. I can hardly wait until plants actually start filling in.
The wine barrels in the middle of the veggie beds contain one rhubarb and the squash. Love their large leaves!
As you can see, I planted the veggies way too close. Next year I'll know better!
This is Teasing Georgia, a beautiful Austin rose.
