Very overcast with a very damp feeling in the air, not as warm today as yesterday the high for today is 80 degrees, breezy in spells. Rain predicted for this afternoon.
First let me state that I am not a hoarder! Some people may say I am welcome to my opinion...but now I keep it all neat and where I can find it...well that is my opinion.
I was out today and picked up two more nice truck loads of oak leaves and grass clippings and along the way I saw some pots tossed out by the road. Naturally, I stopped to investigate. Many of them were just not worth keeping but I did get two almost new buckets. Not five gallon buckets but they look like the 5 gal. white ones but these are more like three gallon size. I think they will work well when I have to empty the fountains to clean all the leaves out and I need to do that once the oak leaves stop falling (if ever). I also got a very nice stainless steel bowl, one of the smaller sizes but I know it will come in handy (ahh, maybe in picking my first crop of peas) it will only take a small bowl I am afraid. Also got some useable plastic pots, and even some nice clay pots. I don't often run across people tossing out clay pots, plus one very nice little red ceramic pot (I am going to try it as a fertilizer dispenser.
Once I got my truck unloaded I cleaned up the pots and took a few photos as I walked around the garden. Things are really picking up in the garden now with the warmer weather. While things were creeping alone the past few weeks they are moving into overdrive now. The empty spaces I was looking at to put new plants are filling up fast, they were just waiting for the right time to make their appearance. The daylilies are putting on a lot of new growth and new ones are still popping up.
I do have a few blooms to show!
