Cloudy all day, a very light sprinkle occasionally but nothing more than that. Got around a half inch of rain yesterday.
Spent almost all morning trimming up crape myrtles and the cedar trees that line the drive. I had trimmed the trees by the drive last year, but my wife said they needed trimming back more so now it is all done. The biggest crape myrtle I have had some low limbs that were starting to put too much shade over one of the perennial beds, so I cut those off to allow in more sun.
My camera that I bought used back in 2004 finally died completely today, for the past few months it has been acting up. It would work on full zoom or no zoom, but today when I zoomed out it made a grinding noise and the photo looked like infrared, then when I went back to no zoom the same response.
I think I know what camera I want, another nikon. As much as I would love to have a DSLR I can't justify the price of the camera and the lens for the type of photos I take now. So I am thinking about a refurbished Nikon p600. I can take close ups or long telephoto with the same lens, the photo quality is not nearly as good as with a DSLR, but for my use it should be more than sufficient.
I did manage to get a few photos before the camera died but they are just showing some of the assortment of zinnia seeds and seedlings I have planted this year. Still, being I have had this camera for over 10 years, I guess it only fitting I post the last photos I will be taking with it.
