Seedfork's blog: This Bud's for you

Beautiful overcast calm day today, and cool when I first got out.
Being the wind was not blowing today for a change I decided it was a good day to cut down some more oak trees, I cut one down the other day, and cut three more today. They were not large trees, but I wanted to get them before they became too large for me to handle. There are so many oaks in my yard they they are shaded out by each other and they grow tall looking for sun but they stay skinny. These were 30-40 feet I estimate, but none were over a foot in diameter at the largest part.
Now for a little southern humor, if you saw the title to this post and thought beer..."then you just might be a Redneck". Of course I do feel like buying everyone a beer in celebration...I had a critter in my cage this morning!
But it was not the little O'possum, it was a big raccoon. So maybe I was blaming an armadillo wrongfully, then maybe all the damage I blamed on the O'possum was not all his doings, and maybe this darned Racoon was not the only thing digging up my garden again last night, but I don't have a bear trap so I hope there is nothing much left out there to dig.

Now I had the bait (dry cat food) in a small plastic pot, this is all that was left of the pot.

There were some nice blooms in the garden today, but nothing new. So I was looking around and saw all the beautiful buds they will soon be a beautiful bloom.
