Got an inch of rain last night, but even though it was very cloudy this morning we got no more measurable rain.
About ten o'clock this morning I was leisurely strolling though the garden when I remembered I was suppose box up some plants and ship them out. So I gathered up the necessary supplies and started packing. Picked out the perfect sized box I just happened to have on hand. Got everything packed very well and was very pleased with the job. Got ready to seal the box when I noticed it had an air bag sticker on it. Now when I was in the salvage business you had to get training, take a course and get certified, buy special boxes and labels to ship automobile air bags. These boxes with the special printing and warnings and labels cost about $25.00 each the best I recall. Anyhow it is against regulations to reuse these air bag boxes, so now I had to scurry around for another box to put the plants in.
Ok, got another box, not as large, not as nice, not as strong, but a box and the plants will fit in it just a little more crowded. Get the box ready to go and it now dawns on me that the plants need to be there tomorrow and it should probably go priority mail. So off to the post office in the car to get a priority mail box, well the actual size I need is too large and over $17.00 to ship it, so I buy the medium size for for like $12.75 . I am standing in line waiting to mail my box when it occurs to me I left my wallet at the house! Do they take credit cards at the post office I ask myself, yes they do. Where is the credit card...in the wallet of course. Trip back to the house, trip back to the post office, do I want them to sign, do I want $50,00 extra insurance , do I want....no just ship it.
I do think the plants will make it in decent condition, and I am sure they will not rattle around in the box.
