Very warm today, mostly clear, but with some breeze. The temp. from the weather station shows a high of only 89 degrees today, well it felt much warmer...it felt like at least 90 degs. F.
Yeah, that is only one degree difference, but it sure seems warmer when you say it and it felt warmer being out in it.
Got some chicken manure and shavings from the neighbor yesterday, mixed it in one of the compost piles and wet it down really well, it did not smell all that bad to me. The neighbor was complaining about the ammonia smell, but being I use diluted ammonia spray on the hostas, I guess it seemed weak to me. Took off and went fishing down at one of the lakes for a while yesterday, mostly just checking out the tackle for a trip next week. I did discover when the large bass broke my line right at the pier that my line was in need of replacing.
Spent most of my time in the garden today just watering, it is that time of year when if we don't get rain every couple of days things start to dry out. My lawn looks worse every day, don't see any rain in the near future either.
The critters have not let up in their digging, but the only thing they have really dug completely out of the ground lately are my Orange Profusion Zinnias, those poor things have been dug up and replanted a half dozen times. I am surprised they continue to live and bloom.
Well I was playing around with the camera and I think I finally hit on the settings I like for flowers.
So here are some of the shots I took today.
Tuscawilla Tigress, I think this one will be open tomorrow.
Joylene Nichole, also should be open tomorrow.
Rose Emily, should be open tomorrow.
From the photos I have seen, this should be a beautiful daylily, I can hardly wait, for tomorrow.
The buds on Hello Screamer, it will be interesting to see if the warm weather speeds these up and they also open tomorrow, it is possible I will see more blooms, tomorrow.
With the name Endowed With Beauty I am just hoping it can live up it it's name.
My little Tiny Double You asiatic lily in bloom now.
Oh, the Cleome is always such an beautiful addition to the garden blooms.
I have a couple here I have no idea, so let me know if you know what they are.
Ok, just a few more...I really got carried away in the garden today with the camera, the lighting was just right most of the time, and there are so many blooms...I do have lots more but I won't try to show nearly all of them.
