Went to my granddaughter's high school graduation ceremony! Stayed at a rented house at on Smith Lake, very nice.
The water is a strange green color due to all the minerals leaching from the rock formations I was told, and the water is over 200 feet deep, supposed to be one of the cleanest lakes in the U.S.
Never did get to do any fishing, but still had a good time.
Checked on the garden when I got back, we had had over 1.5 inches of rain while I was away and we certainly needed it. The garden looked great, and I saw no damage from the critters digging. I think my new neighbors dogs have prevented the digger critters from venturing into the garden, that would be great. I will get pictures tomorrow, I did have several new things blooming while I was away. Also got one year older while I was gone, had no idea I would be gone a year...well sort of.
Walking down the path to the floating dock, the house sets on a very steep bank, on a finger of the lake.
My wife looking down at me taking her photo from the floating dock walkway.
This boat was not fishing:
