Well after my very disappointing order experience with one vendor, today I had just the opposite experience with a different vendor, this time I will print the name: Country Lane Daylilies...I just received my order from them.
Even from the first e-mail communications this vendor showed a much more personal touch so to speak.
It was apparent that my business even on a small 4 plant order was appreciated. My order was handled efficiently and professionally. The plants were sent in a large enough box to put ample packing around it, just in case it were to get lost in the mail, the plants still would have a chance to survive. In this heat that is really a great idea.
The plants were not huge, (that's actually fine with me, saves on the shipping), they were very nice plants. Everything that was done wrong by the previous mentioned vendor, was handled with grace and style by this vendor. Now let me say, I only ordered four plants, but I had sent a list of the ones I wanted, but they were out of some of them, so these were the four I ordered. Well, I got those four and not only that, there were two plants in the box that were on my list. There was a personal note inside stating the Bela Lugosi, and Paper Butterfly were included as a gift being they were too small to sell. Hey, I have received smaller plants from other sources.
Not only did I get two free plants, but two that were actually on my list! Now to me that is above and beyond what I expected! I most definitely, will use this vendor again.
Also received another order today, only three small plants. They were stuffed in a very small box, no packing at all, and the plants were rather small. Other than that, only one complaint, the roots were cut, no big deal I guess but I had rather the plants be separated without hacking the roots. No bonus plant, and that is fine, wasn't expecting one. I am pretty pleased with this order(I would order from them again) In other words this order was sort of the norm, which makes the one form Country Lane daylilies stand out so much above the rest.
