Dang...I was almost through and lost the entire post. Starting over again.
This was a good day to get some heavy labor done in the garden. The temp. has dropped down considerably in the past two days. There was a breeze blowing all morning and it really felt refreshing for a change.
Yesterday was predicted 100 per cent chance of rain and I think we did get 100 drops. Today about 30 per cent, maybe we will be luckier today.
The critters returned to the garden last night, as I walked down to the garden I saw lots of sign of them digging in other areas. When I got down to the garden, the daylilies had been dug all around, but only one had been completely dug up (well at least the new marker was still there so no problem knowing where to put it back). I would have known where it went and what it was anyhow, even without a marker. It was 'So Many Stars' one I had really wanted, and it is the only one so far to show no new green growth at all. So being dug up certainly will not help it any.
There were lots of butterflies in the garden again today, but none of the black swallowtails, but some very pretty yellow ones with blue coloring. Lots of those, and plenty of the smaller ones. I took a photo and it shows three small butterflies (hard to see them because they are small and rather plain).
First bloom all season on 'My Path'.
Dahlia still blooming:
'Nagasaki':
I have never been a big fan of double daylily blooms, but they are beginning to win me over, I just love this big bloom, the color is so soft looking.
'Scatterbrain':
This is my red NOID, it has done very well, one of the better performing plants late in the season so far. It just keeps sending out blooms, not that many at one time but one almost every morning.
'Sparks One Hot Mama' rebloom:
Rebloom on 'Wish Fulfillment' notice all the buds.
A few butterfly shots: And a Dragonfly.
Can you find the three small butterflies in the photo?
