What a storm! We had a really amazing thunderstorm overnight, with a ton of rain. Everything looks fresh and clean this morning. I probably could have done otherwise, but decided I couldn't stand wee-jee-ing myself in and out of the tumbled up mess of a garden shed another day, so I turned it out and cleaned it up. Didn't take too long...mostly it was a matter of restacking pots and moving the onion drying rack into a better position. Now I can get in and out with fear of being snagged or tripped and not being found for days... Only when the UPS man happens to hear my weak cries for help... before the chickens eat me.
I also got the Clearance table Walmart stuff planted into the nursery bed. I have high hopes for this stuff...it better not let me down *narrows eyes*.
Watched two hummingbirds "dancing" over the old cherry tree this morning. They would go up up up up into the sky, then fall down into the tree....then repeat. i don't know if this was a mating dance, or if it was an adult trying to teach a little one to fly. This summer we've got more than the usual amount of hummingbirds around...I'm trying to plant more flowers that they like. I have given up on humming bird feeders. Every one I've ever tried leaked or else attracted so many wasps it was a danger.
