Almost one month to the day since our cat Riley (the mystery illness cat) passed away, our boy Tucker also passed over into the Green World where he's a kitten again... *sigh* He's been ill for about 4 years with hyperactive thyroid and chronic kidney failure. Last week, he suddenly started doing much better...eating like a champ (he's lost so much weight over the years...nothing kept it on), cleaning himself, really just more like his old self. I was so happy but I should have known better. About 4 days ago, he just crashed. Stopped eating/drinking, lethargic, etc. Poor little guy was just skin and bones. We tried everything, but yesterday was just long enough and he fought the good fight. We had the vet put him down. Its the end of an era...he was our "Top Cat" for 15 years, a beautiful American Longhair. He's sadly missed.

Waiting on rain today. I have a small project to finish up in the office today, then I think I'd like to just spend some quiet time working on my garden plans. I'd like to sketch out some firm planting schemes for the driveway bed and the bed in front of the house.
