About 2 inches of snow overnight, the thick wet kind that coats everything like cake frosting. Everything looks very beautiful out there this morning. The temperatures are in the mid-30sF so it's melting and I can see spots of grass coming through. The forecasters are saying this will be the last of our winter weather: it's supposed to warm up next week and stay that way. I hope so...I don't look forward to days in the 80s, but some nice mild 60s would be perfect.
It's too muddy to do much outside today; besides, I have a vet appointment this afternoon for my cat Grace. She's doing fine, but it's been a while since she's been seen and I want to make sure she's ok, especially in the tooth cleaning department. She's 11, so time to start the geriatric checkups.
I had the strangest dream last night. I was holding some sort of fund raiser in my house and garden and I have the distinct feeling it had something to do with raising money to either build or fill in that gigantic pond that I often dream of. My father, dead nigh these many years, was there, enjoying himself. Featured prominently was a band of mounted Sioux warriors who came galloping out of my neighbor's yard (clearing his wood pile with admirable skill, I might add) and milling around in my backyard, much to everyone's surprise and delight. I was mostly concerned with the damage the horses were doing to my grass.....:lol: Someday, I would like to understand where these images come from....
