Had to make a trip to Dothan today, so while I was over there I decided to stop by for my first visit to a local daylily grower, Lilies Of The Field.
What a huge area for daylilies, I don't think they will be running out of room anytime soon. The beds are raised and filled with pine bark and are spread out very far apart from each other, so we rode the golf cart around looking for the plants. Of the five plants on my list we only managed to find three, but that suited my wallet better. With the trips we have been on lately and the one to coming up, the wallet is not exactly bulging lately. So I think my total for the three plants came to only $29.00.
I bought:
'Look Here Mary' $10.00
'God Save The Queen' $12.00
'Planet Max' $7.00
Here are all three planted in the garden...the three in the front with the blue tags laying by them.
I noticed that near by I was beginning to see ladybugs working the other daylilies.
Here are a few photos I took of some of the grounds the daylilies were growing on.
I did not see any daylilies actually blooming but I did find two with scapes and buds.
