I passed the cardiac stress test yesterday! *does happy dance* Apparently, despite a LDH level of 342 (yes, 342), my weird genetic makeup has kept my heart healthy. As my sister said (we share the same genetic defect that prevents our livers from processing cholesterol), we just tend to "run a little rich." I was so scared...I was sure the cardiologist was going to say "you've got clogged arteries and need stents/surgery." I felt a little like an astronaut in training on that treadmill, with all those wires connected to me and the nurse taking my blood pressure every few minutes. The have a video of a walk through Rome to watch while you walk, so that was nice... So, whew, that's one great big worry settled. I'm going to keep watching my diet, exercising, and taking my statin (unless the liver function tests say otherwise).

Got a little bit of work done in the Pond Circle. I did not realize how overgrown and messy those 3 beds have gotten. Also, the path around the pond is a mess...I need to rake out the rotted wood chips and replace them. I've already weeded the beds, now I'd like to get in there and lift out some very overgrown miniature comfrey, alliums, and violets and move those elsewhere. Then I plan to put the raked up path material on the beds as mulch. I've also got to pull up and reset the brick edging on one bed that has sunk by a few inches...not sure what's going on there. Might simply be because of shifting mulch...
Our weather continues to be wacky. We finally got a nice soaking rain, temps in the 50s-60sF. Then it decided to plummet to the 20s and SNOW.
Gus the cat had to have 9 teeth taken out. Poor boy...he's doing ok though, eating soft food for a while.
Today, I'm going to a winery near our town for a wine tasting/tour with a couple of friends. I hope it does not snow....
