We got much needed rain yesterday and today. I am hoping for some sunshine tomorrow. The weather will be cooler the next few days, but if I have some sunshine I will be happy.
I potted up my tomato's today and I got my first order of Swan Island Dahlia's so they are potted up also. I love being able to be comfortable in my little greenhouse and still garden.
This is yesterdays post in the dahlia forum: I have been trying to be so good and not water my dahlia tubers because I have been told not to. It has rained most of the day, so I spent a few hours after work and turned the tops of the baggies down and top dressed with more moist potting soil. It is colder now and only gets to around 65 during the day in the greenhouse so I may wait a few days until it warms to add a little water. What do you think? When I did the top dressing I noticed several (not as many as I would like) with nice eyes on them. I will water for sure next week.
The greenhouse is bursting with plants, so I am not sure what I will do - I guess pot them up since my new raised bed isn't even started.
I have potted up more that 400 plants so far for my gardening club plant sale so I have not been doing much in the yard. I have about 200 more to go then hopefully I will be done with that little project.
