JB's blog: Tropical Houseplants

Posted on Jul 8, 2011 1:01 PM

One of my favorite tropical houseplants is this Gardenia Jasminoides 'Aimee'.  The flowers are outstanding and large even on the younger plants. The fragrance is strong.  The leaves are a beautiful shiny deep green.  The perfect plant for a deck or patio. It must be brought inside in the winter months in some zones. When the weather is above 60 deg. at night, here in New Jeersey, these plants all go outside for the summer.

If you have any questions about this baby feel free to ask. I have been propagating and selling them for several years. I am more than happy to share information.

The above pictures are from my stock Standard Aimees. The plant at the right is at lest five years old.

The lower pictures are from two different two year old standard Aimees. First blooms for them this year.
