This is probably not the best time of the year to start a gardening blog, but it's just too hot to do more than talk about gardening! Our temps are in the high 90's each day, with the heat index at least 10 degrees higher. I have been looking for a blog about gardening in Houston, but haven't had much luck, so I decided to start my own.

I have had these bulbs since 2011 and this is the first time they have bloomed! I have to think it's been the added rainfall and humidity of Houston, compared to Austin, where they were growing before.
