I really like Begonias. I know some people refer to them as old lady plants, but I don't care. I like what I like! I purchased this one at the Stephen F Austin Arboretum spring plant sale this year. It is a species Begonia labeled Dottie's Eye Lash. I couldn't find it in the plant database, so I can't make a link.
It had several sprays of small pinkish white flowers for several months. They seem to have stopped for now, but the foliage has stayed beautiful all summer. It gets no direct sun and I water it at least every other day. I will cut down on the water as the weather cools and I know I will have to protect it from freezing this winter.
