I am at it again. Its been ages since I left the failed iris painting.I have the mojo going and am using the last of the giant paper roll 14 inches wide and only 20 inches left from 10 yards.
I going for broke and am just doing light sketches and light paint on paper. There are many Japanese Iris in my head and I need to capture those falls and tweeks on the tops. Here is the preliminary sketch for the 45 x19 JI paainting.

The second painting is of yellow lilies Royal Sunset. This is on 300 pound paper. Its thick like a blotter.
I drew this a week ago and am using it for warm ups. The problem with painting now is,the studio is damp and I need dry paper for the techniques I like to use. This is the dashed off preliminary from this morning.

I can see already the blue needs some attention.
