Took off the orange fencing along the back of the lawn area since we now have the large dogs fenced off from it, makes for nicer photos. Took these pictures this morning before the sun fully popped out. I need to work on getting more groupings of plants to make more of a color impact rather than spots of colored scattered everywhere.
Garden now just over a year old now, parts of it only planted since this early spring.
A new plant I am in love with, Salvia canariensis

I have it planted in front of a yellow Graham Thomas rose, thought it would make a nice combo eventually once the rose fills in.
This rose is Jeri Jennings, a sweet hybrid musk. http://www.helpmefind.com/gardening/l.php?l=2.40934
A new butterfly bush just started blooming, 'Honeycomb'. From what I read, the blooms are not as plentiful as other cultivars but the colors are pleasing and fit well into my color scheme.
The Tropicanna canna and black leafed dahlia are in a section I called my 'dramatic hot bed' :-)
I bought a couple of Stachys officinalis 'Hummelo' last year, I am very pleased with them, quite handsome looking and drought tolerant too.
Came home from vacation to a couple of new lilies blooming, 'African Queen', a tall apricot and 'Golden Splendor', a yellow, both trumpet lilies, my favorite kind.
A new daylily, 'Kimberly Wolf' and an old favorite, 'Blue-eyed Butterfly' are settling in nicely into this new garden.
