lovemyhouse's blog: Sunday, muddy Sunday

Okee, discussed a plan with younger-mama for running older-mama through a reality check. Will have a house meeting on Thursday when my sister can be here. She is grieving today. Roscoe the MinPin died during the night and she found him lying on the floor by her bed. Doesn’t have the money for cremation and doesn’t want to bury him in this backyard, so she was waiting for the city to come get his body. Think it better for her to avoid any further stressor for a few days. Younger-mama was really attached to Roscoe-dog and he to her, so we went over to my sister’s house and the two of them held a sort of mini-ceremony for him.

Picked up four concrete tree ring segments and two 16” round stepping stones from sister’s front yard and brought them back here. Took a cane off the Zepherine Drouhin I bought her. Hoping to root them and grow one or two over here. Next time, will take the garden fork to dig up the Sweetheart Rose I bought for the grandchitlins to remember their mother. Think put in a container here first. Will be a’ponderin to find an in-ground spot. There is time to choose, though.

Took Buddha Boy outside for a bit this afternoon. He likes to sit in the grass and pull it up. Doesn’t eat it, just pulls it. Okay by me. :-) He is currently fascinated with a pair of my shoes. Which is fine with me as long as he stops trying to teethe on them! Those shoes have been over a lot of miles and over many a nasty warehouse floor.

Older-mama doesn’t know it yet, but she is going to the unemployment office tomorrow. And to the library on Tuesday. They have computers, she can look for a job. Free ride is over.

Got some clean up stuff done in front today. Pleased to see the flowers opening up and know the composition of textures and colors is really nice. Would pat myself on the back, but it was purely accidental—and I can’t reach that far. :-D

Buddha Boy says mama, nana, hey, puppy, and baby, now. Awwww... :-)

Oh, great. Swell, even. Or, maybe SHE-ittt…sigh…Father of girl-baby just dropped her back at home tonight saying the results of a home DNA test show she isn’t his child. Geez, more drama? More? Okayyyyyyyy. Calm down younger-mama, get her to remember that her parent-class teacher told her DNA tests are free for minors (damn, still hurts to write that) and she is going to get the procedure and a list of locations in the morning. Hope the DIY kit was just contaminated or there was a mix-up at the lab; don’t want to think this guy deliberately messed it up or lied about the results. Hasn't seemed the type to this point. Guess we will see. Enough for one day, though, I’m going to bed. :-p
