MaryE's blog: 2023 #175 I'm not accident prone. Honest.

Apparently I'm just clumsy. Yesterday I tripped and landed face down. Ouch! My chin got the worst of it. This morning I think I found all of the sore places. Got a jammed finger, sore ribs, sore shoulder, a few scuffs and general soreness from hitting the ground. Thankfully nothing appears to have broken, however, I may be badly bent! I am very thankful that I didn't do a full face plant or break my jaw. I can chew carefully, open my mouth wide and my teeth seem to all line up.

Between this rude event and the weather change my outdoor garden related tasks are probably finished for this year. Little vegies are happily growing in the greenhouse now that we finally got the shade cloth off of it about a week ago. The tomato cuttings from this past summer's plants are doing well. I only lost one out of about 9 pieces I poked into Root-tone and then into pots of soil. Some of them have blooms now! I should have nice plants I can use for starting more cuttings. I really can't expect to get any tomatoes to eat and that's ok. All I can say so far about my poor geraniums is that none of them look dead.

Yesterday was beautiful, warmish for the middle of November, sunny and without wind. Nice! Showers moved in overnight and gave us another 1 10th in the rain gauge. It all adds up. Our annual moisture is about 9 inches.
