Ooof, tiredtired.

Both babies are screeching, whining, sounding like World War 19, and just in general being a pain in the ear.  One is overtired and beginning to be a whiny child testing the limits of his lung power and endurance to see who can be manipulated; the other has gas.  Which it never even occurred to me to check for before her mom got back.  God did not give me children for a reason, a very very very good reason.

Sister brought me KFC!!  Fried Chicken!!!! Fried chicken! AND it was free to her, which made it taste better! I am in heaven.

Blondy comes to me at about 7:30.  Can she leave baby with me and come back in the morning?  I am soooo freaking tired.  But it will get her out of the house.  Make sure he is asleep before you leave and be back by 11:00AM.  We’ll see if she makes it.

===============================================================

New day.  Sister is feeling better.  Girl-baby is feeling better.  Shortie-mama is feeling good.  Boy-baby still asleep.  Hope he sleeps to at least 8:00.

Same with every generation.  New technology leaves older folk saying, “Kids don’t know what they have.”  Found myself doing that this morning with regard to the Internet.  What an astounding, amazing development.  Go anywhere in the world from your desktop.  With minimal transportation these days, I am missing the ability to hop in the car and just wander around the clearance racks at Lowe’s garden center, or browse the stacks at the library, or even take my time just ambling up and down the aisles at Kroger.  But, when we have money again, I can shop Santa Rosa Gardens sales and Pacific Chai Tea through my computer.  I can look at thousands of publications, listen to 78RPM albums from 1925, or trace the Lewis and Clark expedition from their own maps all online through the Library of Congress.  I can take and send pictures THROUGH MY PHONE!!!! A phone that fits it a pocket and doesn't have wires attached!  There is simply no way anyone under the age of 25, at least, can possibly understand what miracles they have and that they don’t even think about.  How can they?  They have no frame of reference.  Just as I had no frame of reference for the days before television and single party telephone lines.  For the days before Sputnik and Mercury and Gemini when the only people who thought about sending men to the moon were science fiction and fantasy writers.  I am glad I am an adult in the here and now and not 50 years ago.  I got the privilege of seeing so many wonderful things come about and I am grateful for it.

So Blondy gets back at 11:45, frantically spilling an explanation, blah-blah da da-da da-dah (yeah, yeah, whatever).  She thinks I’m going to be really mad.  Cut her short and say, if you had been three or four hours late, I would be really mad, but you got here within an hour of what we agreed, just let me know next time that you will be late.  I hate it when I feel obligated to set an example and be adult and reasonable when I want to be petulant and throwdown a fit.  ROFL

Baby-boy is feeling puny today. He slept until 9:30 without stirring.  Been clingy and not ready to be contented with much.  Went back to sleep at 11:30 and slept until 1:30.  Poor baby-child.  :-(  SNAP refilled today and sister let me use her car after work for a fast Kroger run.  (I got out of the house all by myself--I beeze bounce up and down happy!!! :-D)  Bought boy-child a Rice Dream Vanilla and an Almond Breeze Vanilla.  See if the switch from cow’s milk will help his congestion.  Had coupon for Reese’s Minis.  Going to make cookies using them instead of chocolate chips. :-)

Was supposed to use Blondy’s SNAP card for here and let sister have mine until other one runs out.  But little ol’ Blondy left her wallet at the place she stayed last night—which is a 30 minute drive from here AND at which no one seems to be able to find the wallet…sigh…Sometimes I just want to let every vile, insulting, denigrating thing I can possibly come up with spill out of my mouth.  I mean, how abysmally STUPID CARELESS AND IRRESPONSIBLE do you have to be to not make sure you have it with you when you leave?  KNOWING how far away it is, knowing that you ALSO carry your Social Security card and your SON’S Social Security card along with that SNAP card.  KNOWING that, between the two cards, there are 10 people being fed and we need access to every penny?  Maybe she was “just” drunk again.  ARRRRRRRRGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  She is having one of her friend’s take her there to get it, waiting for arrival…been waiting for six hours…

Got some nice photographs of the two new Agastaches.  Should have a couple dozen daylilies open by middle-end of next week.  I am soooo eager to see them, especially the new ones and mostest more especially because now I have a ‘real’ camera.

Zippedy-DO-dah, ZIPpedy-ay, my, oh, my what a wonderful day!…er, night.  Blondy just told me her friend is coming to get her and the baby, they are staying the night over there until friend can get gas money from her mom, and will take Blondy to Seagoville in the morning to go after the wallet.  Which means…drumroll, please…I have the house to myself tomorrow morning and can take my very own shower with no one pouting about it. Well, except maybe a dog or two because he or she can’t see me through the shower curtain, but that is beside the point.  Happy Dance, Happy Dance, Happy JOYFUL Dance!!!!! ROFL ROFL ROFL
