Sharon's blog: Oh sweet!!

I checked old records, I lost the huge mature magnolia tree in the fall of '05, then saved a seed pod from it. It wasn't until the following spring that I planted the seeds, so this tree is only 7 years old.  Blooms don't last long on Magnolia grandiflora and the rains from last night and today nearly flattened it, but oh sweet!! Look at it bloom.  It's had one bloom a year for 3 years now, but this year it has another bud. You'll probably hear me squeal when it blooms, too.
