Today I can transfer my images into our blog using Firefox ... now to learn how to use the layout : )
These are images taken yesterday of little corners of our garden. Some of our favourite combinations of plants: the geraniums, echinacea and ferns at the front of the house, and the aegopodium and hostas in the back garden.
The alyssum self-seeds every year and I simply take plugs and plant them throughout the garden. The alyssum bed close to the front door is very large now and they are amongst the last flowers to leave before winter sets in. Their fragrance is wonderful and when the japanese maple sheds its leaves in the fall the carpet of colour is splendid.
We planted sedums in the pots at the front door this year ... less maintenance : ) We use rocks in our newly planted pots to deter the squirrels from digging in them, and we take the rocks out as the plants fill in. And lastly for today there are the "royal standard" hostas ...another favourite, low maintenance plant.
