Sick morning glories

Sick morning glories
Posted by Karen from Michigan on 2008-08-26 07:37:00

I have 2 sets of morning gloy's both grew from the thousands of seeds that fell to the ground last fall. Both were thriving, I was sick for about a week and did not get a chance to water, it has been very dry here. The plants by my porch on the trellis are dying, I have been watering like crazy, the other set is a beautiful green. I can't figure out why they won't come back the
leaves are brown and shriveling. Could they have an infection, they were fine last year all the way into September. Doe's anyone know what could be wrong?

Maybe you have watered them too much. I believe Morning Glories tend to prefer sandy/ poor soil. [Do not fertilize them as this will cause them to develop much more foliage than flowers.
