Wind damage to butterfly "tree"

Wind damage to butterfly "tree"
Posted by Lolly from RI/6 on 2008-09-15 01:20:00

I have a 10 ft+ white butterfly bush in my front yard. I came back from being away and found it laying in my yard today. From what I have been told and what I can see in damages done all through my garden we had heavy rain and wind come through today.

My question is... How do I save my "tree"? It has huge trunks and it is the largest butterfly "bush" I have ever seen. Should I just cut it back and replant? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated ASAP!!!
