Avocado Tree

Avocado Tree
Posted by Melissa (missy_in_tx@yahoo.com) from Texas on 2009-03-20 07:21:00

I bought my Mom a Avocado Tree for her birthday. We have planted the tree in the ground exactly like the lady said we should. The problem is this, there appears to be something eating the leaves on the tree. Its holes and around the holes its turned brown, almost like its burnt. We live in the middle of the country in south Texas and yes we have deer that pass thru but this is not from an animal. We believe that it is some kind of insect. If anyone else is having this problem or had this problem and resolved it, will you please give me some information on what we can do to save this tree? Whatever it is, is not eating all of the leaves and is only picking out certain leaves to munch on. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
