Rose cuttings

Rose cuttings
Posted by Tom Wright from Washington Stat on 2010-04-20 03:21:00

We are currently in Port Orchatd, WA, soon to be moving to San Angelo, TX.
We have some heirloom roses, the bushes have been in my wife's family for over 100 years. We are trying to get some cuttings rooted to take with us but are having no luck with them thus
far. I have found this reference on this site:
http://www.garden.org/searchqa/index.php?q=show&id=13074&ps=1&keyword=rooting%20roses&a
dv=0. Would this be applicable? Is it too late, too early ion the season
ason to do some rooting?
We believe the roses we have are
re the last of these heirlooms
and don't want to lose them.
Any advice? Thanks
