How do I find out my average last frost?

How do I find out my average last frost?
Posted by Katnip from GA/7 on 2002-01-20 11:43:56

I have a very simple question that probably everyone knows but me! I'm new at this - and want to find out where I can find a map that shows me when I can start planting outside? I want to plant some seeds inside and transplant them, but don't know what date to count back from. I live in Zone 7, Atlanta, GA.

You could click on "Regional Reports" in the upper left hand corner and select the area that approximates where you are for a general idea or call you local USDA Extension Office for more specific information. Keep in mind that these are general and that your micro climate could be somewhat different and that can vary from year to year. These dates are averages which means sometimes the last frost is earlier and sometimes later.
