I have 2 Brizilian pepper trees. Is it normal for them to have some of the leaves turn yellow and fall while at the same time continue to put on good growth?

It's a normal reaction to the heat and to the trees shedding the oldest leaves in favor of developing healthy new leaves. My Brazilian pepper tree drops leaves all year around. But new leaves develop quickly. As long as you see healthy new growth, it's nothing to be alarmed about.
