| I am in virginia. My lawn need grass seed & also there is need of weedkiller. suggest me should I do grass seeding or use weedkiller as it is the end of september.I sent this question yesterday and got reply that I can use Weed B Gon. But I can not find any such weedkiller with label instruction of overseeding after using weedkiller so pls advise what should i do in september. Thanks |
| You have three choices: you can overseed now and wait until after you have mowed the lawn 2-3 times before applying a weed killer such as Spectracide or Ortho Weed B Gon, or you can apply the weed killer now and wait a week to overseed your lawn. Either way you'll get rid of the weeds and the new grass seeds will have time to sprout and establish before winter weather arrives. The third choice is to apply a weed killer this fall to control the weeds and then wait until next spring to overseed your lawn. Best wishes with your landscape. |
