I have a cactus plant that has grown a shoot about 6 feet tall, how do I re-plant it

Most cactus will develop roots if you simply plant it in the soil. Break off the growth, allow it to callous over for a day or two, then plant it in well draining, sandy soil or specialized cactus mix. It should develop roots at the callous. Good luck with your project.
