I have 3 garbage cans full of landscaping rocks that I would like to use around my roses. Will it kill the roses? What should I put the rocks over and how could I eliminate grass/weeds growing in between the rocks?

Landscaping rocks should not bother your roses or other shrubs in your garden, as long as you don't pile them on too thickly. Start by removing any weeds and then lay weed blocking landscape fabric over the area. You can then place your rocks on top of the weed block fabric. The fabric will keep weeds from sprouting and it is porous so rain water and water from the hose can percolate down into the soil. Best wishes with your project!
