I have a plant call split rock. What kind of soil and fertilizer do I use.Does it need full sun or partial shade. |
Pleiospilos nelii is the popular split rock plant. It looks like a piece of greenish speckled rock, and with a perfectly straight cleft right down the middle. It needs fast draining soil or the roots will rot so I'd suggest planting it in a clay pot in cactus mix potting soil. It likes full sunshine but it will go dormant in the summer if the weather gets too hot. You won't need to fertilize your plant. It is very slow growing and gets the nutrients it needs from the atmosphere and the potting soil. Good luck with your plant! |
