When is the Best time to Transplant my Japanese Maple Tree? or can I ?

Late winter and early spring are good times to dig and transplant maples. I'd dig a generous hole so as not to damage the major roots. Replant at the same soil level as it was growing before and be sure to water it in well after replanting to help settle the soil around the roots. Good luck with the move!
