| Your friend is right - prune your crepe myrtle back now. Crepe myrtles flower on the new growth of the season so early spring pruning is best - it will promote lots of new growth and lots of flowers. You can prune it back again after it has finished flowering and the new growth should develop flowers later in the season. Enjoy! |
