I want to add zucchini plants to my potted garden. Once they sprout in Jiffy pots, when should they be planted in a pot? What size pot would accommodate 1-2 zucchini seedlings? How much should I space them out if they can be in 1 pot? When should I harden them to the weather?

Zucchini is a sprawling plant and each plant can develop several stems so you'll need lots and lots of space for each plant. You can plant 2 zucchini plants in a large container minumum (18 inches deep and 14 inches wide) and each will have sufficient root room for good growth. Expect each of the vines to crawl 10 to 12 feet along the ground. You can plant them outdoors in April.
