Grass seeds will sprout at temperatures as low as 40F so yes, you can overseed bare spots in your lawn in March. Start by raking the bare areas to roughen them up a bit so the seeds will make good contact with the soil. Broadcast your seeds and then cover them with a thin layer of peat moss or compost to help keep them moist. Be sure to water several times a day so the seeds don't dry out. Once the grass has sprouted you can water less frequently. Best wishes with your lawn.
