Last year weeds overtook my raspberry garden. Is there any product I can use to control the weeds? Pulling by hand is too much work...I couldn't keep up and lost control. Thanks!

Not many herbicide can be safely used around raspberries so the best approach is to hoe the weeds down in late winter or early spring, apply Casoron (a pre emergent) to the soil and then mulch over the top with 3-4 inches of organic matter. The combination of the pre emergent and the thick mulch will keep new weeds from sprouting. I use straw but you could use pine mulch, compost or any other locally available mulch material.
