I use perennials in my containers. Can I transplant them in the ground before it gets cooler outside or closer to fall? Can I keep the boxwood in a pot for the winter? ...outside or in the garage?

Experimenting this year, we'll see what happens. Thanks. (Zone 5)

Unless you bring all your pots in for the winter, they will do better in the ground. The earth has a lot more insulation that a pot.
