Is it too late to thin out spring blooming shrubs like Ninebark, Forsythia and Spirea?

You can thin your shrubs now. Since your forsythia has already bloomed, you won't miss the flower display; your spirea will bloom later than usual if you prune now, but it should still bloom for you this summer. Your ninebark should come through the thinning process without skipping a beat in performance. Best wishes with your pruning projects!
