The Green Pages: Seed Savers Exchange (E-Commerce Companies)

This is the first time I've ordered from seed savers exchange, and I'm very pleased with them so far. Haven't planted them yet, BUT look at this:



There is actually a picture of the specific plant I bought.
And on the back: history, planting directions, days to germination, plant information, AND a 1" restickable flap instead of 1/4", which never holds and spills seeds everywhere.

I like the fact that Seed Savers is an organization with options. It ranges from just purchasing (almost) any heirloom or historical seed, to supporting membership, or selling your own seeds as a member. I look forward to reading about not only the seeds that I'm buying, but also a little heritage/history.

Love them. Nice to know that whatever I order from them, I can save the seeds and not have to try to figure out whether they are heirloom or hybrid. Good prices and nice selection.

These varieties were selected because of their interesting histories, unique characteristics, and popularity with SSE staff."

This is a good place for interesting and rare heirloom seed varieties. You don't have to be a member to order from their online catalog or to request a catalog in the mail.
