The Green Pages: Bach's Cactus Nursery (Local Garden Centers)

This is an incredible place to visit if you're a cactus or succulent aficionado! I'd never been there, even though we travel through Tucson regularly. I finally decided to check them out. What a wonderful surprise to see the huge place, full of wonderful cacti and succulents....acres of them! Many of their plants must have been planted decades ago because they are so large. I didn't get to see all of the greenhouses, but there are a lot of them.

I came home with a number of new species for my collection. The staff there was very helpful and knowledgeable. They packed them up really well, and they all made it back to New Mexico in fine shape. Now that I know about them, I'll be stopping every time we go through Tucson. If I lived there, I'd be there at least weekly, ...maybe more!
