Interesting narrative from a Hidatsa Indian woman on how they planted and harvested crops such as squash, corn, and beans. Women did the majority of the planting and harvesting, but old men cultivated the tobacco because they were the ones who mostly used it. Book has pictures and illustrations of things like the primitive tools that were used.
