Recommended by Sandsock - Nov 29, 2020 5:39 PM I love his plants! If I can't get something locally, his starter plants are such a good deal. Many of his plants are Proven Winners or other famous names (and a few neat edibles) and he grows them well. He intends you to plant them in the ground. My only minor problem is that if you are new to growing out baby plants there are no directions for potting on. I killed several before I found a different website that suggested using cactus mix or other quick draining mix with slow release fertilizer, but NOT potting soil. It was certainly not his fault that I did not know enough and chose to pot them on instead of in the ground. I would highly recommend him and his plants. In fact I have ordered around 30 plants from him in numerous orders. |

Recommended by cinvasko - Aug 18, 2020 4:55 PM I have to add a review - much more recent - to dogwooderitternet from ebay. I stumbled on his auctions this year and have been beyond pleased with his plants. Yes, they are small, but they are amazingly healthy. He packs them differently than I've ever seen and it protects the plants extremely well, plus his shipping is fast and inexpensive. I've ordered a great assortment from him, and that includes a dozen or so lilacs and over 20 hydrangeas. They typically arrive in 2.5" pots but grow quickly. Because it's so hot here I'm potting up and waiting until fall to plant, but here is an example of how much my last order has grown in less than two months (the tub is 22" across). He gives direction to keep the plants shaded to acclimate and even has a message for the postal carrier on the box to deliver to a shaded spot and not leave the box in the sun. I think that's pretty amazing! |

Recommended by beenthere - Feb 27, 2017 10:44 AM I've been purchasing from this gentleman thru Ebay for many years, everything from Red Twig Dogwoods and various Honeysuckles to perennial plants. Shipping has always been quick. Packing is imaginative and effective to protect the plants. The only ones I ever lost were to the Bermuda triangle of death, at the top of our hill. Heavy, nasty clay on a slope. It has taken years to amend that soil so I could successfully plant (anything) there. Bought many honeysuckles to help beautify (hide) the ugly chain link fence many years ago. They are still there, all of them, doing their job and making the hummingbirds happy. I love the fact that he offers the unusual and hard to find. Plants are small, but with strong, healthy root systems. Just plant them and stand back! Highly recommended. |
Recommended by MunchkinsMom - Jun 28, 2016 7:29 PM I've ordered from "Dogwood" several times since last fall, after I saw some comments on Garden Web recommending him highly. I was still a bit hesitant to order from eBay, but my concern was unwarranted. My first order arrived very quickly, but had been damaged by the carrier. When I contacted "Dogwood" to let him know, he immediately refunded the cost of the one plant that was most damaged (all others were OK), and THEN he also sent me a replacement! |
