Over the years I have watched as NHG has become more organic and has carried more native plants. It even has large bins for recycling garden pots. The staff is great - friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. NHG has its own vegetable garden for display and teaching purposes. And there are classes, seminars and other events almost every weekend. New this 2015 -16 season is the addition of a small art gallery and a cafe. Their website has a wealth of information, plus they publish a bi-monthly newsletter. Many of the local garden clubs hold their monthly meetings in NHG's classroom. They're on Facebook and respond to all questions in no time at all. Check them out if you're in Dallas.
