The Green Pages: Powell Gardens (Display Gardens)

Powell Gardens is a not-for-profit botanical garden specializing in native plants. They host many events throughout the year and also host weddings in several spots on the property. They have the biggest harvest garden this side of the Mississippi River that is open to the public, and they offer samples of the harvest to the visitors and also cook with the food in both cafes on the property. They have paved trails throughout the main part of the garden and a nature trail, which is not paved and is about 3 miles long. They host a plant sale once a year, usually the first weekend of May.
